Australian Green Clean (AGC) were beyond excited to be onsite for the 2022 Adelaide 500 event for the first time as we delivered the cleaning and waste management services for this event. With a large footprint across Victoria Park and high-profile visitors, waste and cleanliness of the site was extremely important.
Earlier this year, AGC were successful in becoming the cleaning and waste management service provider for the event. We were chosen out of a number of local and interstate companies and our success in winning this work highlights the strength of our brand, services and capability.
The Adelaide 500 is Australia’s largest domestic motorsport event. The Adelaide Street Circuit is world-renowned both for the excellent racing and the race atmosphere that takes over the city. The 3.219km circuit has played host for the Adelaide 500 Supercars event since 1999 with the last event in 2020.
The event ran from Thursday 1st December 2022 - Sunday 4th December 2022. Across the 4-day event, we saw perfect weather and over 250,000 people come through the gates. For each day of the event we had over 150+ staff working as bin runners, during event cleaners and overnight cleaners, providing a 24-hour service. Logistics, operations, a strong and dedicated management team and consistent communication with other contractors and event organisers was particularly important to deliver a successful event.
As the action on the track drew to a close, the action off the track revved up with some of Australia’s and the world’s biggest acts taking to the stage in the Adelaide parklands, as AGC delivered services to 3 massive concerts each night.

With three concerts each night additional to the daily event, the team showcased their expertise within the sector".
It was an incredible and rewarding weekend for the AGC team. We thank all our staff for their efforts, hard work and endless hours they provided during what was a very busy event, and lead up to the event.
