ROYAL ADELAIDE SHOW AIMS FOR ZERO WASTE

This year Australian Green Clean (AGC) are working in partnership with the Royal Adelaide Show to meet their zero waste goals. AGC will be implementing a 3 bin system across the entire event for patrons to use. The Royal Show aim to divert all waste from landfill for the entire event.

AGC invested in 600 bins to ensure there were enough vessels to be utilised by the 500,000 patrons who attend the Royal Adelaide Show. We selected imagery and cartoons that relate to patrons to help them make the right choices when using the bin system. All food and drink sold or sampled for sale on site must be served in Australian certified compostable packaging, with the exception of recyclable and 10c drink containers.

The Royal Adelaide Show will be the first Royal Show in Australia to implement a 3 bin system and commence the zero waste journey. Chief Executive Officer Charlie Sykes said "we are extremely proud to assist the Adelaide Showground in being a leader in their field. the Adelaide Showground are committed to ensuring all events held at the venue utilise the 3 bin system. By Australian Green Clean investing in these assets for the Adelaide Showground we are able to offer all events the 3 bin system into the future".
